TPACK and SAMR

This is a mind map showing how I can support staff in my library using the TPACK and SAMR frameworks.  I used Google Draw for my MindMap software.

The SAMR Model

The SAMR acronym stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. This model for integrating technology into teaching was developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura. It is meant to help educators transition from simply enhancing student learning to transforming student learning. While teaching will occur at all steps on the SAMR model, the goal is to be continuously asking ourselves as educators, “What are we doing? Why are we doing it? How will this help student learning?”

Below is a poster I have created outlining 5 questions teachers could ask themselves in order to evaluate a technology tool’s educational use.
